On February 22nd, 2013 I arrived at 12:10 p.m. to the Grand Opening of Alejandro Alcondez Mexican Grill And Dancing in the city of Arcadia. The building is impressive, the structure resembles an Old West wealthy hacienda sitting in the middle of the City, promising to be one of the best Mexican Restaurants in the area. The parking lot is very ample and it’s a few steps in front of the restaurant, best of all it’s free!
Ms. Claudia Lau, Mr. Alcondez’s assistant, greets me at the entrance and invites me in. As I enter I can’t help to notice the two tone (burgundy & white) interior colors along with the arc ceilings and support columns around the 8,000 square foot space with capacity for 400 guests. There is a huge stage with professional lighting above, speakers the size of a young man and a large dancing area. Dark wood tables and chairs matching the wood floors seem to invite the guests to relax and enjoy a succulent meal.
A very pleasant, well mannered man in a black suit comes to greet me and introduces himself as Alejandro Alcondez, the owner, we shake hands and he proceeds to give me a little history of his achievements and how grateful he is to God, the community and everyone that has supported him to achieve his dream of owning this magnificent restaurant.
Mr. Alcondez has appeared and produced more than 70 movies in Mexico and the United States. He owns two movie production companies. Mr. Alcondez has 3 projects for the near future: A Spanish movie “Bronco Negro Part II”, A TV series for Telemundo and an English movie “Echoes Of A Broken Mind”.
Mr. Alcondez’s restaurant offers a variety of authentic Mexican food using some of the most natural, fresh ingredients. The corn tortillas are freshly hand made on the spot to give the guests a feeling that they are at home.
Some of the attendees to the Grand Opening were Mr. Robert Harbicht (Mayor of the City of Arcadia), several City Council members, members of the Police and Fire Department and many celebrities who assisted in the cutting of the ribbon. Free meals and drinks were provided for everyone’s enjoyment.
The restaurant will be open 7 days a week offering Live Entertainment, DJ’s, Bands, Mariachis and dancing. The hours of operation will be Monday thru Wednesday from 11 a.m. ‘till 11 p.m. and Thursday thru Sunday from 11 a.m. ‘till 2 a.m. Mr. Alcondez goal is to keep the prices reasonable and affordable by everyone since his dream was to built a restaurant for the people of his community! If you feel like eating delicious, authentic Mexican food prepared with fresh ingredients in a jovial, cheerful atmosphere where everyone will have a good time, come to Alejandro Alcondez Mexican Grill And Dancing Restaurant. It will be worth the trip for an unforgettable time. CPC News Today would like to thank Mr. Alcondez, Ms. Lau and the whole team for their hospitality.
